“Missing Cryptoqueen” Ruja Ignatova had received police information on their investigations
into her $4bn crypto currency scheme before she disappeared. She is wanted by authorities
for her scam known as Onecoin. Recent information shows she knew about efforts to arrest
her months before she disappeared.
The files contained digital data of presentations made at an “operation satellite” meeting in
March 2017. According to the documents the meeting was attended by the FBI, the US
Department of Justice and the New York District Attorney. Officers from the UK, Germany,
the Netherlands, Dubai and Bulgaria were also present. None of the involved agencies have
commented on how the information may have leaked which makes it difficult to find the
source.
Digital security is of the utmost importance. We have to ask ourselves what these giant
corporations, agencies and networks are doing to better protect vital & valuable data.
